Moorea, the Pineapple Island

Moorea, the pineapple island
AH, Moorea the sweet!! Just a half-hour by boat separates it from Tahiti, and it is the perfect weekend destination for Tahitians. Along with Tahiti, Maiao, Mahetia, and Tetiaroa, Moorea belongs to the windward islands in French Polynesia. A small island with a circumference of 60 km, its charm draws you to its beautiful beaches, lush vegetation, and especially its pineapple route. The small pineapples of Moorea reflect the perfect balance of flavour and sweetness; once you taste them, especially for breakfast, believe me, you'll find it hard to forget this sweet little moment and it will be inseparable from your stay in Polynesia! Don't miss an impromptu lunch on motu Tiahura, which you can reach by renting a boat or a kayak in the northwest of the island. Of course, snorkelling sites and even underwater walking are available, but this island is best discovered from within; its colours will imprint on you like a tattoo, and speaking of tattoos, "my little extra info", if like many you wish to bring back a Maori souvenir from your trip, Moorea has a few addresses of renowned tattoo artists working in the rules of the art with world-recognised talents.
