Service: Replacement and Soldering of a Threaded Peg – Silver Jewelry Only

How does the service work?

1 – Soldering the threaded peg (925 sterling silver)

After thoroughly cleaning the jewelry to remove any traces of glue or oxidation, we proceed with the soldering of a new threaded silver peg onto the jewelry setting (ring, bracelet, or pendant). This delicate operation requires great precision to ensure a secure attachment without compromising the structure of your piece.

2 – Heating and final polishing

The soldering is reinforced by controlled heating, followed by careful hand polishing to restore the shine of the jewelry. This step also helps eliminate any visible marks from the heating process.

3 – Repair conditions

This service is strictly limited to 925 sterling silver jewelry. Gold jewelry (18K or 9K) is not eligible under this offer. For gold repairs, please refer to the dedicated gold repair service.

4 – Pearl setting

Your cultured pearl must be included with your shipment if you wish us to reattach it. Pearl gluing (included in the service) is performed using a specialized jeweler's adhesive, suitable for fine pearls. A 48-hour drying period is respected before returning the item to ensure proper hold.

5 – Secure shipping and return

Shipping your jewelry to us is your responsibility. Please send it in a protected and insured parcel to the following address:

Poemotu cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage during the inbound shipment. Once the repair is complete, your jewelry will be returned securely via insured DHL shipping, ensuring full tracking and maximum protection.

Repair turnaround time:

The estimated lead time is 3 weeks from the date of receipt, except during peak periods. We take pride in delivering careful, long-lasting work, in line with the high standards of craftsmanship for which Poemotu is known.
